Discipleship

What is REMEDIAL CARE?

Ron Browning, founder and biblical strategist for NewHeart Expressions (NHE), has spent the last twenty years developing a discipleship path to minister to sexually broken men. The result is NHE's Find True Identity Discipleship (FTID), which Ron plans to publish as online courses. In the meantime and until FTID is ready to publish, Ron continues and will continue to journey with broken men (and sometimes their wives) through FTIDthe teachings and Q&As, the Workshops, and the diagnostiX. A journey from the depths of sexual and relational brokenness into the wholeness of living from Jesus' Life.

Ron has traveled both the journey of a sexually broken man, living as a gay man for the first half of his life; then as a mentor and biblical strategist walking with sexually broken men out of their darkness into Jesus Life, Light, and Love. God rescued Ron from the addictions of sex and porn, and then prepared him for ministry. Now commissioned by Network 220, as a minister of the Gospel in exchanged Life ministry, Ron provides remedial care to hundreds of men addicted to sex and porn. And now, under the FTID designation since 2014; rebranding the NewHeart Expressions website as www.FindTrueIdentity.com.

Ron meets with the men he disciples online, in 90-minute sessions, at first via Skype, then Join Me, and now Zoom. Meeting weekly, graduating to twice a month, then monthly, then quarterly, and finally staying in touch through annual check-ins when needed. As you can see it's a journey. Sometimes difficult, even painful. But in the long run freeing, healing, and joyous. And ultimately, it's worth it!

In NHE's Find True Identity Discipleship there's teaching sessions, Q&A sessions, diagnostiX sessions, and workshops. All corrective, counteractive, and curative. The journey of remedial care. And it's our privilege, here at NewHeart Expressions, to journey with you through NHE's Find True Identity Discipleship. Which begins with Enrollment & Orientation (E&O): i.e.: a set of enrollment forms, the Galatians 2:20 teachings, the 2 Corinthians 5:21 teachings, the Exchanged Life Diagrams (NHE style), the 1 John Salvation Garden Workshop, and learning FTID's diagnostiXtoolsthat harbor you in a safe place.

In diagnostiX PART 1: Learning God & You in a Safe Place, there's:

  • Protectorates: learning to explain, self-talk, and pray God's Word.
  • Life Messages: learning how I think, choose, and feel the way I do, and why.
  • Connections: learning to connect emotions with God's Word.
  • Paradigms: learning to connect thoughts with God's Word.

In diagnostiX PART 2: Learning the Differences in the Self-life and Jesus' Life from a Safe Place, there's:

  • The Grace Walk: learning to strategically live from Jesus' Life.                                                                                                       * exchanging old beliefs for new
  • The Faith Walk: learning to strategically live by faith.                                                                                                      * KNOW—RECKON—YIELD—WALK
  • The Ruse: learning to strategically exchange the enemy's schemes for God's goodHis delights & desires.                * resolving Desires in Conflict
  • The Pledge: learning to strategically live as more than a conqueror.                                                                              * e.g., using The Armor of God & The Fruit of the Spirit

All but one diagnostiX have three designs:

  1. To show us God's truth and God's way; growing God's Word deeply within our hearts.
  2. To expose and correct sin's hunts, haunts, and habits strategically with God's Word.
  3. To train us to live God's way; using His Word to mold us for His good—His delights and His desires.

There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us (2 Timothy 3:17, the Message).

If you're interested in NHE's Find True Identity Discipleship, as your path for overcoming sin's hunts, haunts, and habits of sexual and relational brokenness, we look forward to meeting with you. One more thing... ... ...

KTFNHE's Find True Identity's Obedience Strategy                                                                                The rules if you would allow the term...

Many years ago and before Pastor's Ron's head injury, he taught music (e.g., piano, voice, chorus, song & dance) to children, teens, and adults. He had contracts with several Christian schools and home-school associations. But he had just one set of rules: KTF. Knowing when a child, teen, or adult used kind words, tender actions, and forgiving attitudes obedience and respect are never an issue.

So, FTID's Remedial Care adheres to this same biblical strategy. A strategy that overcomes lying, stealing, anger, and so much more. KTF. Taken from Ephesians 4:32 and rephrased as: kind words, tender actions, and forgiving attitudes is God's mighty love in action.

My dear children, let’s not just talk about love; let’s practice real love. This is the only way we’ll know we’re living truly, living in God’s reality | ...our love can’t be an abstract theory we only talk about, but a way of life demonstrated through our loving deeds | ...you show love for others by truly helping them..., not merely by talking about it.  (1 John 3:18, the Message, the Passion, & CEV)

We, here at NHE, pledge to treat you with God's LOVE of KTF, and ask that you treat us the same. Whether on Zoom, by phone or email, or talk and text. We pledge to love and respect you with KTF, and would appreciate that same in return. KTF!

Hope to visit soon!
