Help and Healing for Men Struggling with Sexual Brokenness

Find True Identity Discipleship

Welcome to NHE's Find True Identity Discipleship. This is one of the most exciting yet difficult journeys you'll ever embark upon. My name is Pastor Ron. And I'll be you host and mentor through NHE's Find True Identity Discipleship.

NHE's Disciplship is broken into three semesters each year: the Fall Semester, the Spring Semester, and the Summer Semester. And yes, this is a JOURNEY not a marathon.

NHE's Disciplehip begins with Zoom sessions, meeting once-a-week for 90-minutes each time. Accompanied by daily and weekly homework assignments called diagnostiX; involving phone/text/email communique and 8 diagnostiX to help identify and define God and others, ourselves and our struggles with the truth of God's Word. It's not just about the whats; it's about the whys and the hows. It's about help & healing of your brokenness.

Here's how NHE's Find True Identity Discipleship journey unfolds:

FIND TRUE IDENTITY DISCIPLESHIP—basiX

FIRST YEARS (6 to 12 months… once a week 90-minute sessions):
The 5 P’s—basiX: early-XtepX (pronounced early-steps) for living the Christian Life successfully...

First Years are learning NHE's Exchanged Life Diagrams—God’s Paradigm—i.e., God’s upside-down world… His acceptance, belonging, and competence in contrast with man’s search for significance…
  1. God’s POWER & PLAN in contrast to man’s self-acceptance
  2. God’s PERSPECTIVE in contrast to man’s self-belonging
  3. God’s PRESENCE & PEACE in contrast to man’s self-competence

(Romans 5, 6, & 7)

SECOND YEARS (18 to 24 months… semi-monthly sessions—1st & 3rd or 2nd & 4th week sessions):
The 7 A’sbasiXneXtep:X (pronounced next-steps) for living the Christian Life successfully…

Second Years are learning how to exchange bad thinking, choices, and feelings for God’s through
three radicals, three relationals, and one testimony… this is the longest and most difficult year of
NHE’s Find True Identity Discipleship…

THREE RADICALS

Radical Amputation of sins—yes, even people, places, & things that might lead to sins and sinning

(Matthew 5:29; 18:9; 2 Corinthians 7:10-11)

Radical Appropriation of Jesus’ Life as one’s own true identity—one’s Life

(Romans 6; Ephesians 4:17-24; (Colossians 1:27; 2:13-14; 3:1-4, 15-17)

Radical Accountability of amputation & appropriation in a community of other Christians

(Proverbs 27:27; Ecclesiastes 4:9-12; James 5:16)

THREE RELATIONALS
Constant Attachment to Jesus—i.e. a life-union of abiding in, living from, connected to Jesus as Life (John 15; 1 John; Revelation 1-5)
Passionate Adoration of Jesus through true worship (John 4:23-24; Romans 12:1; Jude 1:24-25; Revelation 5:12)
Accurate Affirmation about Jesus and His Life living within (Romans 5-8; 2 Corinthians 5:13-17, 21; Ephesians 4:17-24)
Who is Jesus?
Who am I because of Jesus’ Life within

ONE TESTIMONY

Compelling Articulation—a growing, continual personal testimony about my freedom in Christ; those set free from sin’s hunts, haunts, and habits can’t shut up about Jesus and what He’s done. It’s IMPOSSIBLE!

(Psalm 71:15-16; Mark 5:20; 1 Corinthians 5:20; 1 John 1:1-4; Revelation 12:11)

THIRD YEARS (12 months… monthly sessions for as long as needed or desired)
The 7 L’s: basiX—XtrategiXtepX (pronounced strategic steps) for living the Christian Life successfully beginning…

Third Years are learning how to use God’s Word strategically… learning to appropriate Jesus’ Life as their own… embracing, ensuing, and enjoying Jesus as Life!!!

Redeeming & Sovereign LORD
Forgiving LAMB
Saving LIFE
Ensuing The Christian Life— pressing in to know Jesus as my:Rescuing LIBERATOR
All-Wise LEADER
LIGHT SOURCE of Grace & Truth
Enjoying the Christian Life—basking in Jesus’ Life as the:
LOVER of My Soul

FIND TRUE IDENTITY DISCIPLESHIP—worXhopX

FOURTH YEARS (12 months… quarterly sessions for as long as needed or desired)
Find True Identity in the Bible’s Profiles: worXhopX for living the Christian Life successfully
FIFTH YEARS + (12 months+… annual sessions for as long as needed or desired)
Find True Identity in the Bible’s Profiles: worXhopX for living the Christian Life successfully

What Does All This Look Like In Real Life?

A few students journey through as First Years' (the length of time varies), and after finding freedom in Christ move on to live out Jesus as Life, having overcome sexual brokenness. Some return occassionally to refresh themselves in Find True Identity Discipleship truths. Most students, however, journey through as Second Years'; to strengthen their hearts and practice in living the Exchanged Life truths. Those who continue as Third, Fourth, and/or Fifth Years' do so to deepen their understanding, practice, and/or communication of The Exchanged Life (i.e., The Surrendered Life).
