NHE's FIND TRUE IDENTITY DISCIPLESHIP
First Year's Final Review
First Years journey through basiX—early-stepX.
Over the course of one year, divided into three semesters—Fall, Spring, and Summer—each followed by a four to six week sabbatical, NHE’s Find True Identity Discipleship embarks upon an adventure of discovery, following a path through:
-
God & God's Word
-
You & Your Struggles... and—
-
God's Gameplans & Biblical Strategies for help and healing
Together, we have set our sights upon God, His Word, and His Life. Using the tools of diagnostiX—NHE's Homework Platform—to begin the process of learning how to exchange your broken life for God's Life of help and healing. By identifing and defining you & your struggles, then building a relationship with Jesus as Life to discover God's gameplan and biblical strategies for overcoming the struggles that have left you broken, living from wrong identifies and false intimacies.
We began this exciting adventure of discovery with devotions, diagrams, and diagnostiX. And now, you are asked to share with us what your have discovered about God and His Life, about you and your struggles, and about God's help and healing. And more specifically, how God, through these discoveries, has empowered you to overcome sin's hunt, haunt, and habits—e.g., your flesh pattern.
Again, over the course of the 30 sessions, we've spent time together in God's Word, using the NewHeart & Cross Devotions, Diagrams and diagnostiX to profile:
-
God's Gospel
-
Humanity's Brokenness
- Your Struggles
-
God's Life
-

- Be prepared to share in writing and/or in conversation, how the following Bible verses have influenced and/or changed how you think, choose, and/or feel about God and His Word, about others, about you and your struggles:
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want (I have all I need). He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul (He helps and heals how I think, choose, and feel). He leads me in paths of righteousness (holy obedience), for His name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
(Psalm 23, ESV.. emphasis mine)
I run in the path of Your commands,
for You have set my heart free!
for You have set my heart free!
(Psalm 119:32, New Heart English Bible)
Now, may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it.
(1 Thessalonians 5:23-24, ESV)
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory (Life), majesty (Beauty), dominion (Mighty), and authority (Sovereign), before all time and now and forever. Amen.
(Jude 1:24-25, ESV... emphasis mine)
Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
(Hebrews 4:11-13, ESV)
